Faye Carter


Faye Carter, Ph.D., BCBA-D

Regional Clinical Director of ABA Services

Faye Carter received her Ph.D. in Psychological Studies in Education through the Joint Doctoral program from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and California State University, Los Angeles (CSLA).   Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from California State University, (CSUF). She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) with over 24 years of experience working with children with special needs including autism and related disorders. Her expertise includes early intervention, parent education and support, clinical supervision, consultation, and staff development.

Dr. Carter’s research interests include approaches to teaching social skills, sibling dyadic relationships when one sibling has a disability and video modeling. Dr. Carter has presented her research and conducted trainings at numerous national conferences. Her research has also been published in journals and book chapters.   Dr. Carter served on the Legislative Blue Ribbon Commission on Autism, on its Task Force on Early Identification and Intervention.

Dr. Carter works very closely with over 25 school districts in the Los Angeles area as well as with regional centers and private and publically funded health insurance plans.  Dr. Carter resides in Northern Orange County with her husband and two daughters.
